Why This Blog (and My Life) Needed a Hard Reset

Over 600 card-making videos. Three years. Conferences, friendships, and a creative season I truly loved. And then — a reset. Not just for this account, but for my life, too.

They say that every seven years, we enter a cycle of rebuilding. If you’re growing, you’ll feel it — the nudge to reestablish patterns, redefine goals, and redesign your path. Society tells us we should stay the same. Stay safe. Stay stuck. But the truth? Nothing stays constant — not even relationships, not even careers.

So we get to choose: sit back and feel victimized by change… or hit reset and build something new.

What a Reset Really Means

For me, the reset meant more than rebranding an account. It was a decision to design a life that works for me — not just for everyone else’s expectations post divorce.

As a mom of four and an entrepreneur running multiple companies, I wear more hats than I can count. CEO, biller, marketer, designer, mom taxi, short-order cook. For years I tried to separate those worlds, but the reality is: they overlap. And the moment I embraced that overlap, life began to feel more like design and less like chaos.

Right Brain Meets Left Brain

If you’re a creative, you get this. The right brain craves colors, shades, and patterns — the excitement of a fresh idea. The left brain reminds you there are bills to pay, emails to answer, and schedules to juggle.

For years, I lived in tension between those two worlds. But now, I see them as partners. Creativity gives us the spark. Strategy gives us the structure. Together, they let us design a life we can actually live.

How to Hit Reset in Your Own Life

If you’re here, you might be feeling it too — that tug for something more. A nudge to step out of autopilot and into intention. Here’s what helped me reset:

  1. Reflect on your season. What chapter are you leaving? Celebrate it, don’t regret it.

  2. Redefine what matters. Relationships, work, family, health — be honest about what needs to shift.

  3. Rebuild your systems. Patterns either serve you or drain you. Start small: a morning routine, a budgeting system, a weekly reset.

  4. Reconnect with yourself. Not the titles, not the roles — the you underneath all of it.

  5. Redesign forward. Ask: what do I want life to look like if I build it with intention?

Life + Design

This isn’t about perfection. It’s about creating something you want to wake up to. For me, that means blending entrepreneurship, motherhood, creativity, and mental health into one honest story.

And for you? It might mean finally letting go of what no longer fits and giving yourself permission to start again.

✨ So here we are: a new blog, a new season, and a life by design — for me, and for you. God Bless
